≈ 60,000 residents of Danilovsky, Tagansky and Yuzhnoportovy districts, plus Zamoskvorechye to get access to innovative transport.

A new electric boat route will be launched in the capital in 2025; experts are engaged in surveying and traffic flow modelling, as announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Moscow Mayor for Transport and Industry.

“Innovative regular river transport has proven its effectiveness; since launch of electric vessels, they have given more than 1.3 million rides, and we expect more than 1.5 million by the end of the year. We are currently considering opening the third river route as we continue to develop Moscow River as the city’s transport artery by Sergei Sobyanin’s order,” says Maxim Liksutov.

With the new route, approximately 60,000 residents of Danilovsky, Tagansky and Yuzhnoportovy districts, plus Zamoskvorechye will get access to the innovative transport. They will construct up to 6 berths and stops near large residential quarters, so residents will be able to build more convenient routes. For example, the way from the Derbenevskaya Embankment to the Torpedo berth will take just 10 minutes instead of taking a four times longer ride by metro and ground transport. The journey from Simonovsky berth to Derbenevskaya Embankment will last about 25 minutes, whereas in the case of a bus or metro, it takes 40 minutes.
