Demand for Russpass travel service has grown almost fourfold this summer
The Russpass service brings together representatives of the tourism industry from 85 Russian regions with 36,000 offers available.

Demand for the Russian travel service has grown almost fourfold this summer compared to the same period in 2023. It can be used to create tour itineraries, buy museum and exhibition tickets, book hotels and choose flights, says Deputy Moscow Mayor Natalya Sergunina.

“From June to August, the service attracted almost 8.7 million users. It was prevalently used by residents of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod,” notes Natalya Sergunina.

The Russpass service brings together representatives of the tourism industry from 85 Russian regions, currently boasting 36,000 offers, including package tours, drives and thousands of events across the country. The filtering system makes it easier to find the information users need. They can choose an activity (children’s, individual, water sports) and a theme-from literature and science to gastronomy and sports.

Last summer, the most-viewed destinations on the platform were Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar Territory, Tatarstan, Moscow, Leningrad and Nizhny Novgorod regions.

The most popular section for those planning a trip to the Russian capital was Locations and Events. It was used by 1.9 million people to find museums, observation decks, art spaces, nature reserves and historical buildings. The Mansions of Moscow festival program was also popular with users.

Moscow residents and visitors often chose attractions and interesting locations in the city such as the Moscow Zoo, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Moscow Cable Car, the Kuskovo Estate and the Museum of Cosmonautics. Most requested tours were Golden Collection of the Film Studio at the Soyuzmultfilm Museum, The Feat of the People at the Victory Museum and a guided walking tour through VDNKh’s Biotech popular science museum.

Changing tourist seasons

After a major update this year, Russpass features a seasonal section to combine offers for residents and visitors.

The Moscow. Summer special project has gathered more than 1.5 million views in three months. Now it has been replaced by Fall in Moscow, adds Natalya Sergunina.

Visit the webpage to find out about upcoming exhibitions, theater premieres, festivals, concerts, select masterclasses, educational trips or plan children’s and family vacations.

It offers a good thematic selection to improve the user experience. For example, Fall Gifts will introduce café seasonal special offers. Dedicated to the 225 th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin’s birth, the Pushkin’s Moscow program will invite tourists to walk along the poet’s favorite locations and itineraries. The collections suggest ideas for photo shoots, walks in parks and much more.

The Russpass digital travel service is a Moscow Government initiative. The project is supervised by the Moscow Tourism Committee and the Moscow Department of Information Technologies.
