Visitors were encouraged to attend art master classes, meetings with famous directors, open rehearsals and concerts.

Last weekend, the Theater Boulevard festival, which had been running since July 15, came to an end in Moscow. It attracted more than 600,000 visitors, said Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Moscow Mayor.

Venues were dedicated to performing arts (Tverskoy Boulevard: operetta, Strastnoy Boulevard: immersive and visual theater, Tsvetnoy Boulevard: circus). Productions by Sovremennik Theater, Lenkom Theater, Oleg Tabakov Theater and Gogol Theater were on improvised stage. The program brought together over 1,600 aspiring and famous actors.

“The project involved 76 groups with more than 480 theatrical and musical productions. Moscow residents and visitors were also invited to open rehearsals, master classes and creative laboratories. “8,000 guests tried their hand at acting,” noted Natalya Sergunina.

They were able to attend concerts and meetings with the country’s best directors. During art classes, visitors made more than 1,000 props.

The Active Citizen project voting for people to give their feedback on the Theater Boulevard festival and choose the most exciting venues will end on September 4.
