The automotive plants to manufacture body parts, electronics, devices, and auto components, while the sustainable industrial cluster to accommodate enterprises processing electrical equipment, plastic, and construction waste.

Two new large — automotive and eco-industrial — clusters, will be built in TiNAO, as announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Moscow Mayor for Transport.

“As ordered by Sergei Sobyanin, the municipality will arrange two new inter-industry clusters in New Moscow, namely, automotive and sustainable industrial clusters. Land plots for production facilities will be provided to investors as part of large-scale investment projects (LSIPs). They will create more than 23 thousand high-tech jobs in the city,” says Maxim Liksutov.

Moscow widely applies a cluster approach to boost its industrial sector, uniting manufacturing enterprises, R&D, educational institutions, shared use centers, etc. into a common industry ecosystem.

The automotive cluster will be located near the village of Kostishovo to embrace major manufacturers of body parts, electronics, instrumentation, and other auto components.

“It is expected that a total of 236 hectares of land will be allocated for enterprises in the automotive cluster; the investors will build more than one million square meters of industrial space to create about 17 thousand jobs,” says Anatoly Garbuzov, Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

The eco-industrial cluster will adjoin the Malinki landfill and will accommodate enterprises processing electrical equipment, plastic, construction waste, in addition to producers of recycled plastic granules, briquetted fiber, and alloy products, which would create 6,000 jobs. It will span 100 hectares with 700,000 square meters of production facilities.

Today, Moscow is home to four inter-industry clusters for photonics and microelectronics, electric vehicles, and pharmaceuticals, plus the Federal Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems, which unite over 140 flagship manufacturers employing more than 24,000 people.

The food and construction clusters are rapidly growing in the Krasnopakhorsky district, too, the municipality to lease out a total of 350 hectares for related production facilities and the residents to create more than 41,400 jobs.
